About
Health and fitness is one of my top priorities. I absolutely love leading a healthy lifestyle and I truly enjoy helping others become the best they can be!
I started to really focus on my health and fitness after graduating from the University of Oregon in June of 2008. I had always gone to the gym or tried to make time for fitness and healthy eating during college, but as most college students can attest it doesn’t always work out the way you’d like. Late night pizza runs, missed workouts, a soda pop here and there and before you know it by the end of college I had gained nearly 15 pounds. It wasn’t a huge amount, but enough to make me feel uncomfortable in my own skin. My clothes were fitting tight and the scale was not the number I wanted to see.
Soon after graduating I took a job in television. I produced the morning news in Monterey, CA. I was going into work at 2:30am and getting off at 11am. Not a great schedule for sleeping and eating! But, I made the decision that I wanted to be healthy and find the time to workout! With a high stress job and unruly hours, my workout time was my release; it helped me get through any rough day. Because I was on such a crazy schedule I decided to try P90X. I needed something I could do at home at any hour. Not knowing what I was getting myself into I popped in the first DVD and found an amazing, tough, challenging, and exhausting workout. I had never done anything like it, I was wiped, and I loved it! It was exactly what I needed to get my butt in shape! I kept pressing play and began to see the results in my body and on the scale. I also started drinking Shakeology as a healthy on-the-go meal and as a supplement for my vegetarian diet. It’s hard to cook at great breakfast at 2:30 in the morning!
During my two years working in television my love for fitness grew. I completed P90X, tried Insanity and found my true love, my soulmate workout in TurboFire. I even took the leap and became a Turbo Kick instructor! I recently completed my second marathon and have found a love for running. I currently have a normal 8-5 job working in non-profit fundraising.
Today, I am in the best shape of my life and 15 pounds lighter than I was when I graduated college. It’s all thanks to Beachbody, Shakeology, hard work and determination. My story may not be extreme, but it is all about me feeling comfortable and confident in my own skin. I now look at working out as a reward. I feel fortunate that I have the opportunity to push my body to the next level each and every day. Now, I want to help others push their limits!
I became a Beachbody Coach because I truly love and believe in the products and the company, and I want to share my passion for health and fitness with others! I want to pay it forward and help other people find their way on their fitness journey.
