This morning marked day 35 of Turbo Fire! I woke up to Chalene Johnson and some rocking music with Fire 55 EZ, 55 min of pure, intense cardio and I loved every minute. I have to admit....., I think I'm addicted to Turbo. I teach it, take live classes and do Turbo Fire at home 6 days a week.
I've tried a lot of workouts, but nothing compares to Turbo Kick and Turbo Fire. I could be having a terrible day and not feel like working out, but once I hear the music I'm pumped and ready to go! It's fun, high energy, and I...

I've been trying out a bunch of different recipes for Tropical Shakeology and I think I've narrowed it down to my favorite, and I wanted to share the recipe with you. Tropical Vegan Strawberry Shakeology has a bit of a chalky consistency compared to the Chocolate and Greenberry flavors, this is due to the Raw Sprouted and Bio-Fermented Brown Rice Protein. I've found that using coconut milk or almond milk with a little water makes this new flavor the perfect consistency. I'm loving my pink shakes in the morning!

Shakeology can be used in so many different ways! I saw this recipe in Chalene Johnson's new book PUSH, which I highly recommend!
These little bite sized snacks are amazing! I made them last week and they disappeared in a few days, between family, friends and myself! I made a second batch and doubled the recipe, making about two dozen. They keep you full for a long period of time and at only 135 calories for two "cookies" how can you say no?!

I've always been one to eat 3 meals a day; breakfast, lunch and dinner. For a long time I thought eating more than that would cause weight gain. Then I started reading more about how it's actually better for your body to eat 5-6 small, 200-300 calorie meals a day. Eating consistently every 3 hours keeps your metabolism revved and burning calories. I started eating this way in July of 2011 and it has made a huge difference in my life. I have more energy for a sustained period of time, I'm not hungry all the time, an...

People often ask me what's in Shakeology? What makes it so great?
My first response is, everything! Everything that makes your body run like a well oiled machine is in Shakeology.
It is truly the best meal replacement shake on the market, but don't take my word for it. I recently came across the Shakeology rating on foodfacts.com. Food Facts rates food based on its nutrients, vitamins, and quality of ingredients. Chocolate Shakeology was awarded 97 points! A near perfect score!
For a little perspective,...

All this came in one package for just $205. If you want to read more about the different challenge packs, look at this post.
I have done one round of P90X before and one of the most important aspects of this workout program is nutrition. As Tony Horton says, "The better the car, the better the fuel you need to make it run as designed." What you put into yo...

It's two days after Halloween and the candy bucket is still staring at me, taunting me to reach a hand in and have just one more "fun size" candy.
It's not that bad they're the fun size...or a least that's what I tell myself. Here's a good break down of just how many calories are in the "fun size."
Hershey Kisses - 26 calories
M&Ms, plain, Fun size - 88 calories
M&Ms, peanut, Fun size - 93 calories
Reese's Peanut Butte...

I prepared this quick and easy salmon dinner on Sunday night. I really like cooking salmon because it is easy, flavorful, cooks fast and it's a great source of protein!
I cooked the salmon in tin foil with a squeeze of lemon, two cloves of garlic and some italian spices. While the salmon was baking in the oven I steamed broccoli and carrots and roasted red potatoes. Yummy!
Dinner was ready in under 30 minutes and it was a well-balanced meal; protein, carbs and veggies. It tasted delicious!
